A dynamic Drinks company has been rapidly expanding and is seeking a Business Development Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Alcohol experienced individual to join a company that offers continuous progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will join the Licensed Wholesale team to be responsible for developing the alcohol side of the business within Northern Ireland through effective sales, margin control and relationship management. This role is to cover a territory in NI (TBC).
Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable sales growth across both on-trade and off-trade channels within a defined territory, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Build and expand key account business by strengthening existing relationships and winning new accounts.
- Focus on developing the wine portfolio, increasing market share, and securing new on-trade wine listings.
- Identify, win, and nurture new business opportunities while collaborating with the wider team to maximise potential.
- Deliver on quarterly sales and margin targets, consistently meeting performance expectations.
- Implement marketing initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and NPD launches to support growth.
- Work closely with internal functions including logistics, trading, marketing and telesales to ensure first-class customer service.
- Ensure full compliance with company credit control policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a proactive field-based sales role, with background in the licensed trade considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in growing sales and consistently achieving targets within your industry.
- Strong commercial awareness combined with a clear customer focus.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to work under pressure and deliver against targets.
- Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Natural relationship-builder with strong networking ability.
- Fully competent in MS Office including Excel and Word.
- Full, clean driving licence.
