Contract Gen AI Architect - (Contract) Belfast | Hybrid Negotiable day rate (inside) | 6 months, with scope to extend The role Our client, a leading global consultancy, needs an experienced AI Architect /Engineer for its AI & Data practice. You will design and deliver Gen AI solutions for clients in energy, resources and industrials, working with data scientists, engineers and client teams. What you'll do Design end-to-end Gen AI architectures that fit client business goals and existing systems Advise clients on where Gen AI can add value and build roadmaps to get there Assess current systems and recommend target architectures and platforms (including build vs. buy) Run discovery and design workshops with business and technical stakeholders Present designs to senior stakeholders and architecture boards Own workstreams and support delivery, mentoring junior team members What you'll need Strong Gen AI, AI or enterprise architecture experience, ideally in consulting Knowledge of the energy, resources or industrials sector Hands-on experience with several of the following: LLM integration and deployment, prompt engineering, RAG and vector databases, AI governance and ethics, ModelOps/MLOps, cloud infrastructure and security for AI Experience with at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) Confident with senior stakeholders and able to explain technical ideas in plain terms What's on offer A competitive day rate, an initial 6-month contract with a strong chance of extension, and flexible hybrid working.
