We are supporting a well-established public-facing organisation with the appointment of an experienced Administrator on a temporary 6-month basis. This role sits within a busy services administration function and will suit someone comfortable working in a confidential, fast-paced environment supporting client-facing teams.
The Role
The postholder will provide professional and efficient administrative support across multiple service areas, with a strong focus on diary management, client liaison, record keeping and compliance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support, including correspondence, filing, scanning and document preparation
- Booking and coordinating appointments using electronic systems
- Managing electronic diaries for clinical and administrative staff
- Liaising with clients by telephone and email in a professional and sensitive manner
- Arranging meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes when required
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records in line with GDPR and data protection policies
- Supporting internal teams with ad hoc administrative requests, projects and events
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using electronic booking systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal sensitively with confidential or distressing information
- A flexible, team-focused approach to work
- Active CTC clearance (essential - candidates without CTC cannot be considered)
Desirable
- Experience working in a public sector, healthcare or client-facing environment
- Familiarity with GDPR, data protection and records management procedures
