About the ideal candidate

  • Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting within industry or practice
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business
  • Ambitious individual looking to develop into a Finance Manager or senior finance position

What the role involves

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting
  • Managing month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Producing meaningful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
  • Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls
  • Partnering with operational teams and senior stakeholders across the business
  • Contributing to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
