Client

VANRATH are delighted to be working with our client in Bangor who currently require an experienced Credit Controller to join their team. This role is initially being recruited to assist with an increase in workload and is initially on a 6-12 month temporary basis (options).

Reporting to the Transactional Manager, the Credit Controller will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of aged debt. Candidates with excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be tasked with maintaining long standing customer relationships, while bringing on new customers. Interviewing immediately.

The Ideal Person

  • 2+ years’ experience within credit control function
  • Experience of managing time effectively
  • Available at short notice

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a specific portion of the debt ledger for one or more companies.
  • Monitor and manage debtor accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
  • Liaise with sales to ensure smooth running of customer accounts.
  • Monitor credit limits.
  • Assist in month-end closure process.
  • Provide cover for colleagues as needed (Sick/Holiday).
  • Implement changes within company’s credit control system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience and drive excellence.
