A leading specialist in innovative decarbonisation and building services solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their dynamic and growing team in Banbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong eye for detail and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across a range of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication projects.
The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products, components, and installations meet company and client specifications. Working closely with production, engineering, and project teams, you will carry out inspections, testing, and documentation control to ensure consistent adherence to internal standards, procedures, and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection and verification of materials, components, and assemblies at various stages of production.
- Conduct final inspections prior to dispatch or installation, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality plans.
- Support the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and calibration records.
- Assist with root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with project and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality management system procedures.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
About You
- Previous experience in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and inspection methodologies.
- High attention to detail with a methodical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital quality management tools.
- Relevant qualification in Engineering or Quality discipline (desirable).
