About you

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager within food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of batch manufacturing processes
  • Effective people leadership, including coaching and developing supervisors and teams
  • Knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and relevant food safety/quality standards
  • Experience managing production KPIs and driving corrective actions
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems, with ERP/manufacturing system experience

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience within chilled, frozen or ambient food production environments
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement qualification

Preferred Education and Experience

Strong background in food manufacturing leadership, with significant Production Management experience and practical knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP/BRCGS).

  • Plan, organise and oversee daily production to meet customer demand, quality, safety and cost targets
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to reduce waste, downtime and losses
  • Lead, motivate and develop supervisors and production teams, strengthening accountability and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Quality/Technical to investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints
  • Support compliance across allergen controls, traceability and cleaning procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving techniques, using KPI data to track progress
