An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer as a Lead Electrical QA/QC Engineer. This is a key role within the business, ensuring all electrical systems and assemblies are delivered to the highest standards within a modern, fast-paced production environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of electrical quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring all installations and assemblies meet required standards with a strong focus on Right First Time (RFT) delivery. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a qualified electrician with QA/QC experience who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process and working directly with production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control (QC)
- Carry out detailed inspections of electrical installations, wiring, containment and assemblies
- Ensure compliance at each stage to achieve Right First Time delivery
- Conduct electrical testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Raise, track and close non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Support first-off inspections and provide real-time feedback to production
- Develop and maintain QA procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and checklists
- Ensure all work complies with internal quality systems and industry standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, test reports and certification records
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Carry out supplier quality checks on incoming electrical components
