Vanrath is working with a well-established transport and logistics organisation to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their busy compliance and operations function. This is a key support role within a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail are essential.

About the Role

This position plays a vital part in ensuring fleet and driver compliance standards are consistently met. You'll be supporting the wider operations team by maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, and helping ensure vehicles remain road-legal and fully operational. Day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and will include working closely with internal teams, external service providers, and workshop/maintenance contacts to keep processes moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update fleet records, including servicing, inspections, and regulatory documentation
  • Ensure all asset and compliance files are accurately stored and audit-ready
  • Process and update driver information, including licence checks and onboarding of new drivers
  • Monitor vehicle defect reports and inspection sheets, escalating issues where required
  • Liaise with third-party maintenance providers to chase outstanding paperwork, invoices, and job updates
  • Support the tracking of vehicle repairs and workshop activity
  • Assist with incident reporting, insurance claims, and damage documentation
  • Provide general administrative support to the compliance function and wider transport team
  • Ensure all systems and records are kept up to date and accurate at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (transport highly ideal, or at least a great interest!)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workload independently while working within a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
