Are you looking to develop your career in maintenance engineering? We're recruiting for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing business in Ballymena. Working alongside experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers, you'll receive full training while developing your mechanical and electrical maintenance skills in a modern production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some manufacturing or mechanical experience who is looking to build a long-term career in engineering.
The Role
- Support the engineering team with planned maintenance, machine set-ups, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities, helping to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Support the engineering team with mechanical breakdowns and repairs
- Carry out machine changeovers and production line set-ups
- Monitor machinery and report potential issues before they become breakdowns
- Complete basic maintenance tasks and replace mechanical components
- Assist with fault finding and root cause investigations
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance projects
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food safety standards

Essential Experience
- Working within a manufacturing or production environment

- Time-served apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Exposure to planned preventative maintenance
