VANRATH are recruiting a Casual Caretaker to ensure supervision of and access to the community centre, responding to requests from the public, whilst ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and the good appearance of the building and its surrounding environment.
Remuneration: c£13.26 per hour, alongside holiday entitlement.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary key holder for designated community centre(s) as and when required.
- Ensure that all areas of the Centre, including associated facilities, are kept in a secure clean and hygienic condition and complete weekly cleaning schedules including the removal of litter or graffiti from the outside of the building on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that all associated centre facilities and adjacent buildings are opened and closed as required, where appropriate.
The Ideal Person
- Applicants must have a minimum of Entry Level Essential Skills qualifications in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy AND be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have a minimum of six months' experience in the operation of facilities to include cleaning and security duties.
- Alternatively, consideration may be given to candidates who do not possess the required qualifications but who can demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of one years' experience in the operation of facilities to include cleaning and security duties.
