This organisation manages heritage sites, offering visitors authentic experiences of Ireland's rural past, including hands-on baking demonstrations, guided tours, and craft sessions. Their team is passionate about preserving traditions whilst delivering engaging, educational, and memorable visitor experiences. About you Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English and Maths or equivalent Traditional baking skills, including soda bread and pancakes Knowledge of farming history and rural life Experience working in the tourism industry Strong communication and customer service skills Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent Ability to demonstrate at least two years' experience in tour guiding and working with the public, or four years' experience in craft demonstrations, baking, and tourism What you'll do Deliver engaging, live outdoor baking demonstrations over an open fire Prepare and light the fire, manage ingredients, and ensure safety compliance Lead guided tours sharing insights into farm and country life, as well as local history Manage costume maintenance and storage for period dress Assist with craft sessions and interpretative activities Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the cottage and visitor centre Handle administrative tasks such as raising orders and research for tour content Act as key holder, on-call for alarms, and support event planning and promotion For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
