About you

You will bring:

  • Excellent Excel and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of accounting journals
  • Strong communication skills, including written communication and PowerPoint
  • The ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate with a team
  • A proactive, 'can do' attitude and flexibility to meet business needs

Required / Preferred experience:

  • Essential: Experience using an ERP system (preferably Microsoft AX or Dynamics)
  • Essential: Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: An accounting qualification (or working towards one)
  • Nice to have skills: Experience contributing to modernisation projects, particularly around AP/AR processes; Exposure to analysis such as margins, overheads, productivity or stock risk

Other requirements:

  • Some travel may be expected
  • Must have employment rights to work in the UK

What you'll do

  • Build, maintain and improve financial and analytical models to support commercial decision-making (including margin, overheads and productivity analysis)
  • Support month-end processes, including provisions, accruals, prepayments and depreciation
  • Help prepare monthly reporting packs and assist with quarterly Board meeting packs
  • Assist with VAT / Intrastat and support the Finance Manager during audit periods
  • Provide hands-on support for AP/AR modernisation and troubleshooting, helping improve processes
