About the ideal candidate
- Nearly qualified or in the final stages of ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Experience preparing management accounts or supporting month-end processes
- Strong understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Confident using Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- Motivated to continue developing professionally within a commercial finance environment
What the role involves
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Producing financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Supporting audit preparation and maintaining robust financial controls
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
- Working closely with senior finance colleagues on a range of commercial finance activities
