About the Role

Our client, a fast-paced and growing logistics provider, is seeking a proactive Customs Clearance Agent to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing import and export documentation, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, and delivering a high standard of customer service in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process import/export documentation in line with customs regulations.
  • Calculate duties and VAT for CDS and AIS imports.
  • Verify invoices, commodity codes, and EORI numbers for accuracy.
  • Request and file direct representation authorizations.
  • Communicate with customers via email and phone.
  • Handle red, orange, or yellow routings and notify customers of delays.
  • Complete supplementary declarations (office hours and on-call).
  • Stay current with customs regulations and participate in training.
  • Manage shipping requests and provide booking confirmations.
