Summary

VANRATH are partnering with a growing organisation in Armagh to recruit an HR Officer with a focus on Recruitment and Employee Relations. This hands-on role will support managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, ensuring effective recruitment processes, sound employee relations practices, and consistent application of HR policies and employment legislation.

What do you need?

  • Proven experience in an HR Officer or HR Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of recruitment processes and employee relations case management
  • Sound understanding of employment law, HR policies, and best practice
  • Experience advising managers on employee relations issues including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Ability to manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns, from role scoping to onboarding
  • High level of accuracy with HR administration, record keeping, and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and HR systems
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
  • CIPD qualification is desirable

What you will do each day

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activity, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, offers, and onboarding
  • Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations matters
  • Support and advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
  • Support managers with probation reviews, appraisals, and ongoing performance discussions
  • Monitor absence and other employee relations metrics, producing reports and insights
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture
  • Assist with HR projects, audits, and compliance activities as required
