Vanrath are representing a leading global industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive growth for its flagship industrial brand. You will be the key link between commercial and operational teams, delivering business initiatives, managing dealer networks, and supporting aftersales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and apply market intelligence to achieve year-on-year brand growth
- Use your understanding of local market dynamics to shape future business strategies
- Analyse market data and support strategic decision-making
- Develop and implement dealer support tools and commercial initiatives
- Manage territory sales forecasting and planning (SO&P)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and integrated management systems
- Improve dealer performance through management tools and proactive engagement
- Expand dealer coverage across new territories and product segments
- Oversee sales execution, order patterns, backlog scheduling, and credit facilities
- Collaborate with global Sales & Marketing teams on strategy and messaging
- Represent the brand through demonstrations, seminars, training, and end-user presentations
- Share product updates, pricing, and launch information with stakeholders
- Monitor and report on competitor activity, market movements, and industry trends
- Provide feedback to support new product development
Your Experience & Skills
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience (5+ years in B2B sales of capital/industrial equipment)
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organisation
- Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, and financial understanding
- Skilled in business planning, modelling, and forecasting
- Proven track record in dealer/distribution management and business development
