VANRATH are partnering with a highly regarded specialist construction solutions provider to recruit an Area Sales Manager for their growing NI commercial team. You will cover accounts all across NI. The business delivers a broad range of integrated solutions including access systems, doors, glazing, partitions and maintenance services across commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality and residential projects throughout the UK & Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to join an established organisation with a strong reputation in the construction sector.

The Role

Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client relationships while driving new business development opportunities across Northern Ireland. The role will involve working closely with contractors, architects and specification teams to deliver tailored solutions across a varied product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to support continued revenue growth
  • Manage quotations, proposals and CRM updates throughout the sales cycle
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to architects, contractors and specifiers
  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business expansion
  • Ensure projects and sales opportunities are delivered in line with agreed margins and targets
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and sales reporting to management
  • Follow up on proposals, customer enquiries and ongoing commercial agreements
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Promote the full company product and service offering across the construction sector

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous sales or business development experience within the construction industry
  • Ability to build relationships with contractors, architects and commercial stakeholders
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a busy pipeline
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
  • Experience within access control, automatic doors or related products would be beneficial but not essential
