Vanrath is working in partnership with a well-established specialist supplier serving the construction, surveying, and infrastructure markets to appoint a Part-Time Stores Operative / Driver (30 hours per week). This role supports the operational backbone of the business and will suit a practical, dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is comfortable balancing stores duties with customer-facing deliveries.
The position is offered on a permanent, part-time basis (3 days per week) with scope to expand hours over time as the business continues to grow.
The RoleThe successful candidate will support the smooth day-to-day running of the stores and logistics function, ensuring equipment is managed efficiently, prepared to a high standard, and delivered safely to customer sites. This role combines organisation, physical activity, and professional customer interaction.
The Hours3 days per week - 10 hour shifts - 7am to 5pm (days to be agreed). Monday to Friday only - no weekend work. Role reviewed after an initial period with potential for increased hours.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily stores activities including receiving, checking, and organising equipment and stock.
- Prepare hire and sale equipment to ensure it is clean, functional, and ready for issue.
- Carry out basic visual checks and report damage or servicing requirements.
- Complete deliveries and collections using company vehicles across customer sites.
- Accurately complete delivery notes, stock documentation, and vehicle checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised stores environment.
- Support internal teams with the movement, picking, and packing of equipment and parts.
- Act as a professional and courteous representative of the business when dealing with customers.
- Manage stores layout and organisation to ensure efficient day-to-day operation.
- Travel across Northern Ireland and occasionally the Republic of Ireland as required.
- Full UK driving licence (clean or minimal points preferred).
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
