The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Contract: Permanent 37.5 hours p/week - flexi time.

Purpose: to support the Payroll Manager by administrating and processing the salaries and benefits of all employees across the UK and Europe in compliance with all relevant insurance, administrative and tax regulations and requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven ability to assist or process weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work overload to meet deadlines.

Main Duties:

  • Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll across the UK and Europe, ensuring accurate PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
  • Manage subcontractor processing including orders, invoice allocation, and RCT/CIS payments.
  • Maintain employee records, handle new starters/leavers, and process statutory forms (P45, P60, RTI submissions).
  • Support financial administration including aged creditors, accruals, and year-end procedures.
  • Respond to payroll queries, ensure accurate data entry, and collaborate with other departments.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in payroll with strong knowledge of payroll legislation and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes independently while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros) and strong overall IT proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and open to improving processes and developing new ways of working.
