VANRATH are recruiting a Business Development and Account Manager to join a leading supplier that sells into the construction industry.

Remuneration: £31,700 + bonus (£1,000 per month) OTE of £43,700 + 2% on all annual sales over target benefits package.

Hours: Monday - Friday. Flexible hours offered, early finish Friday. We are also happy to offer HYBRID WORKING.

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for promoting and selling our brands, through day-to-day management of the sales territory and customer relationships. This role has a lot of progression opportunities, moving into a Business Development Manager role and leading a team of executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Account management - you will be handed a list of accounts to work off immediately.
  • Develop, grow and upsell accounts.
  • Take inbound and deliver outbound calls when needed.
  • Some cold calling of (usually warm) leads, a small part of the role.
  • Take care of a defined territory and work closely with an allocated territory sales manager.

The Ideal Person:

  • Track record of bringing in gaining new business, account management or telesales.
  • Excellent communication techniques.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Good Microsoft Office/IT skills.

Desired: Experience of sales within the construction industry / builders merchants.
