Overview

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a growing construction company based in Newry to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger, overseeing expenses, supporting the administration of weekly payroll, and ensuring accurate and timely management reporting.

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger to include Expenses
  • Weekly Payroll
  • Weekly reporting
  • Management of the purchase ledger
  • Posting of overhead supplier invoices
  • Checking of supplier statement
  • Bank transactions and reconciliations
  • Credit Card Statement, Expense Claims and Petty Cash
  • Provide administrative support
  • VAT returns, ECSL and Intrastat
  • Provide assistance with pricing.
  • Provide support for the annual audit
  • Weekly management reports

About you

  • Experience in accounts and weekly payroll processing, Accounts Assistant or Accounting Technician
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage 50) and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Confidential, professional, and team-oriented.
