This newly created, full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in accounts or finance who is keen to grow their expertise within a friendly and supportive finance team. What you’ll do:
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of accurate monthly accounts
- Carry out weekly and monthly reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process staff expenses, petty cash, and supplier statements
- Set up and process bank payments
- Support month-end processes, including journals
- Prepare reports and provide information for year-end audit requirements
- Analyse costs and contribute to internal financial reporting
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers when required
About you:
- Previous experience within a UK-based finance or accounts role
- Proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Capable of managing workloads independently and meeting deadlines
- A confident communicator who works well within a team
