VANRATH are pleased to be working in partnership with an expanding commercial organisation to recruit an Account Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering long-term value to clients and partners.

Working across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving commercial growth by securing new partnerships, nurturing existing relationships and helping maximise revenue opportunities within an established network of member organisations, venues and commercial partners.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Account Executive will manage a portfolio of existing accounts while actively seeking out and developing new business opportunities. This position offers an excellent blend of account management and business development responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-led sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities through networking, referrals, proactive outreach and effective CRM management.
  • Identify and engage prospective commercial partners across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Deliver presentations and attend meetings with potential partners to promote partnership opportunities and demonstrate commercial benefits.
  • Take ownership of the entire sales journey, from initial engagement through to onboarding and ongoing account support.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the primary contact for partner accounts.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements that deliver value for both parties.
  • Manage existing accounts, identifying opportunities to enhance commercial return and strengthen partnerships.
  • Oversee contract renewals and support retention initiatives.
  • Monitor partner activity to ensure agreed objectives and deliverables are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records, forecasts and activity updates within the CRM system.
  • Keep up to date with market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in account management, business development, partnerships, sales or a similar commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • A motivated, results-driven approach with a natural ability to spot and convert opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM platforms; exposure to HubSpot would be particularly advantageous.
  • A full driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as required.
