The Role
As Warehouse Line Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day performance of a busy warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, safety and customer service standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading, motivating and developing a warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
- Planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient product flow.
- Monitoring productivity, accuracy and service levels while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP and company procedures.
- Producing and analysing operational reports and KPIs to drive performance.
- Supporting warehouse improvement projects and process optimisation.
- Working closely with operational teams to maintain service levels during peak trading periods.
- Promoting a positive, safety‑first culture across the warehouse.
About You
You’ll already have experience leading teams within a fast‑paced warehouse or distribution environment and enjoy developing people while improving operational performance.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous warehouse leadership or line management experience.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, Health & Safety and HACCP.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Experience producing and analysing KPIs and operational reports.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience working within a Continuous Improvement or LEAN environment.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent).
- Warehouse layout or process improvement project experience.
- Advanced Excel or database skills.
