About you

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager within food manufacturing, preferably in chilled, frozen, or ambient environments
  • Strong understanding of batch manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, BRCGS, and legal compliance
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems, with experience in ERP systems being a plus
  • Relevant qualifications such as LEAN Manufacturing, IOSH/NEBOSH (desirable)

  • Lead and oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency targets are met
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean techniques to optimise productivity and reduce waste
  • Manage and develop the production team, fostering high performance and engagement
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards and support audits
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Planning, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Support new product launches and process improvements to enhance manufacturing outputs
