About you
- Currently working towards a 2.1 or higher in Finance or Accounting
- Part-qualified, with some exams already completed towards CIMA or an equivalent qualification
- Some practical experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
What you’ll do
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports and accounts
- Assist in reconciling balances and drafting revenue recognition journals
- Process intercompany transactions and monitor intercompany balances
- Help produce reports on financial and non-financial metrics for management
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including credit control
- Contribute to payroll and expenses processing in line with company policies
- Monitor departmental budgets and investigate variances
- Assist in preparing documents for external audits and maintaining accurate records
- Carry out bank reconciliations and support cash flow management
- Perform routine financial administrative tasks and support broader projects to broaden experience
