About you
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in transactional finance including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end procedures
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations (PAYE, USC, PRSI, RCT, VAT) and related payroll taxes
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting software such as Sage, Business Central, or NetSuite, and Excel
- Strong communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally with internal teams and external advisors
- Experience in sectors related to construction or energy is advantageous
What you’ll do
- Handle daily financial transactions, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, and payments
- Issue government and client invoices promptly, monitor outstanding debts, and follow up on overdue receivables
- Manage payroll processing and employee expenses accurately, ensuring compliance across regions
- Prepare and submit tax returns (PAYE, RCT, CIS, VAT), ensuring timely filings and accurate account reconciliations
- Reconcile various accounts such as bank, payroll, tax, and intercompany accounts with supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Work collaboratively with operational and procurement teams to ensure compliance and efficiency
