About You / Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR or administrative support role within a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of employment legislation and HR processes
- Exposure to employee relations or absence management processes would be advantageous
- Competent in Microsoft Office and confident using HR systems/databases
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, discreet, and capable of handling sensitive information appropriately
- Motivated to develop a career within HR and willing to learn new skills
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support to colleagues and line managers across a range of general HR queries
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of absence management processes, ensuring accurate system updates and appropriate follow-up actions
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal procedures
- Support the coordination of employee relations processes, including preparation of documentation and note-taking where required
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports and data analysis relating to absence, headcount, and other key metrics
- Support the administration of statutory and contractual leave processes
- Liaise with internal departments to help resolve HR-related queries in a timely manner
- Contribute to audit preparation, compliance checks, and policy adherence activities
- Assist with ongoing HR projects and process improvement initiatives
- Provide general administrative support to the wider HR function as required
