Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a varied maintenance role where no two days are the same? We're recruiting for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business in Dungannon. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the site's critical services and utilities, ensuring production can operate safely and efficiently.

Working as part of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining essential plant and utility systems including boilers, refrigeration, heating, water and effluent treatment equipment, while supporting continuous improvement projects across site.

The Role

As a Site Maintenance Engineer, you'll take ownership of the maintenance and reliability of the site's utility services, working closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site services equipment
  • Maintain and repair steam boilers, refrigeration systems and plant room equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs to minimise downtime
  • Maintain heating, ventilation, hot and cold water, vacuum and fluid transfer systems
  • Support the operation and maintenance of the site's effluent treatment plant
  • Carry out pipefitting, welding and general mechanical maintenance
  • Work on mechanical drive systems and pneumatic equipment
  • Coordinate external contractors carrying out specialist servicing and repairs
  • Monitor utility usage and support energy efficiency and improvement projects
  • Provide technical support and advice to production teams
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards

About You

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 4 years' industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and plumbing skills
  • Knowledge of steam generation systems
  • Experience working with industrial refrigeration systems
  • Knowledge of effluent treatment plant equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplined engineering team
  • Experience with hydraulics and mechanical transmission systems
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours
