About you

  • Current membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • Holds a Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns within a busy HR environment.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning principles and recruitment best practice.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and fair recruitment processes.
  • Experience advising managers on attraction, selection, interviewing, and appointment procedures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
  • Ability to interpret HR policies and procedures while delivering a professional, customer-focused service.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment is desirable.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns to support workforce requirements across the organisation.
  • Partner with managers to identify current and future staffing needs, providing workforce planning advice and recruitment solutions.
  • Develop recruitment plans, prepare job descriptions and person specifications, and coordinate advertising campaigns.
  • Manage interview scheduling, assessment processes, pre-employment checks, and onboarding activities.
  • Provide expert advice on recruitment and selection, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Monitor recruitment activity and workforce trends, producing reports and recommendations to support workforce planning and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates to promote a positive recruitment experience.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of recruitment processes and workforce planning initiatives to support organisational growth.
