About you
- Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or part-qualified accountant
- At least 2 years’ experience working within a finance department
- Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
- Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
What you’ll do
- Handle daily financial transactions including bank lodgements, receipts, and payments
- Process purchase invoices and supplier payments, reconcile statements
- Administer wages and HMRC online submissions
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and management accounts
- Maintain petty cash records and assist with VAT reconciliation
- Liaise with staff and suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
- Support year-end audits and prepare journal entries
- Provide cover for the Financial Controller when needed
