Trainee Accountant - Ballymena Area (BBBH13218) Ballymena, Northern Ireland
VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a growing business in the Ballymena area, who are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to become part of their team.
The company will provide a study support package.
What you'll do
- Reconcile and process purchase invoices using bespoke accounting software.
- Approve and release sales orders in line with company procedures.
- Carry out credit control duties, including contacting customers to request payments and resolving queries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card statements.
- Assist with VAT and Intrastat submissions, and support the processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
About you
- 1-2 years' experience working in a finance or accounting function (e. g. Accounts Payable, Receivable, or Payroll).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting and payroll software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small, collaborative finance team.
