About you

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field
  • MRICS membership preferred but not essential; support available for candidates working towards chartership
  • Experience in pre and post-contract cost management within a consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC or similar)
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms; CostX experience advantageous
  • Demonstrates leadership and business development capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude

What you’ll do

  • Lead the preparation of cost estimates and plans for a variety of projects across sectors
  • Provide procurement advice and prepare tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities
  • Analyse tenders, produce recommendations, and support contract negotiations
  • Manage valuations, payments, and change control processes
  • Identify risks and deliver value engineering solutions
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement and project coordination
  • Support business development initiatives and foster long-term professional relationships
