We are happy for you to be based in Bradford, Chatham or Petersfield but please note that occasional travel will be required to our other offices.

Working Pattern: Our working style is hybrid, but we recognise the importance of collaborative working with our colleagues often 1 to 3 days per week in one of our offices.

You and Your Team

The Credit Risk Analyst will use data driven insights to develop, implement and optimise Acquisition Strategies for VBG. In your day-to-day role, as a Credit Risk Analyst you will:

  • Support the delivery of analytical / data driven projects
  • Contribute to the workflow or process changes and form an understanding of different products and processes
  • Gather and define the requirements for creating insights and delivering it as a coherent story to management
  • Utilise knowledge and commercial awareness to provide support and oversight on credit reporting, ensuring the process is fully documented
  • Define requirements for data infrastructure to support business reporting needs
  • Support the creation of regular management information reports
  • Develop visual reports, KPI’s and dashboards using the available platforms (Power BI / Excel)

Knowledge and expertise

  • Exceptional quantitative skills, with exposure to credit analytics
  • Understanding of consumer credit, preferably in the sub prime or online lending sector
  • Understanding of corporate governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to plan and organise work effectively and prioritise deadlines whilst working at pace

The interview process

  • Up to 30 minute telephone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Up to 60 minutes with the hiring team – Competency based
  • Final interview with Daniel Betts (Head of Credit Risk)

As this role involves working within a regulated environment any offer will be subject to satisfactory background checks including criminal record check, credit check, fraud check and employment references.
