Procurement Specialist

Role: The Procurement Specialist will manage and grow relationships with our supplying dealers and funder partners. Responsible for sourcing vehicles and best support terms for Carparison, promoting the integrity that Carparison is currently synonymous with. You will also be responsible for proposing finance applications from our customers to our finance partners, utilising the rapports you have built to obtain the best pricing possible.

Location: Exeter

What you\’ll need

1. Must be able to effectively manage your own workload based on team priorities.
2. Must be accurate and show attention to detail whilst working under pressure.
3. High level of computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word).
4. Have previous experience working within the vehicle leasing industry (desired but not essential).
5. Must be able to develop relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and finance houses.

What you\’ll do

1. Carrying out any ad hoc duties as and when.
2. Assisting in procuring stock batches and identifying opportunities for deal and lead generation.
3. Reviewing data provided by the pricing team to ensure finance and orders are placed with the best suited supplier and funder.
4. Working with the sales team to ensure the central database of deals, offers, and stock information is kept fully up to date.
5. Has regular interaction with the Pricing Manager and communicates clearly to discuss offerings and most viable routes to market.
6. Carries out all duties with intricate attention to detail ensuring that all information is validated, and any offers presented for website upload are correct.
7. Is able to recognise and recommend the need for shifts in process and IT development requirements to ensure processes are carried out with maximum efficiency.
8. Maintains supplier relationships and grows them organically through transparent and clear communication, gaining trust to secure exclusive pricing opportunities.
9. Proposing finance applications via the most competitive finance provider.
10. Communicates in a clear and effective manner, ensuring a culture of quality and excellence is communicated.
