Overview: We are working with a financial services organisation in Edinburgh seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead and coordinate testing efforts across a large-scale platform transformation programme. This is a permanent opportunity offering a hybrid working model and the chance to work on high-impact initiatives within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end test strategy, planning, and execution for major platform transformation projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and test artefacts in line with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage testing activities across multiple internal teams and third-party suppliers, ensuring alignment and integration across workstreams.
  • Lead functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
  • Ensure defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes are followed effectively.
  • Report testing progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance standards and best practices.
  • Support test automation initiatives where applicable and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in test management within complex IT change programmes, ideally in the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrable experience with platform transformation and working in multi-vendor delivery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the full testing lifecycle and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with third parties and internal teams.
  • Experience in managing testing within regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ALM, or similar.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is advantageous.
