Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Testing Engineer to join our client in the finance sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in QA Testing Automation , REXX , JCL , and z/OS . You will be responsible for writing and executing test plans, developing automation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the quality and efficiency of our mainframe systems.
Primary Skills:

Nice to Have:
- Basic understanding of Ansible
- Basic understanding of Batch Scheduling Software (e.g., IBM Z Workload Scheduler, CA7 Workload Automation, Control-M, ZEKE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.
- Write test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on provided requirements and specifications.
- Conduct workflow analysis and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of test cases and test automation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process, aligning it with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mainframe testing.
- Strong proficiency in REXX and JCL programming .
- Experience in application testing of closed-source products .
- Knowledge of test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices .
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to manage project responsibilities effectively .
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience or familiarity with the banking industry .
