Job Title: zSeries Storage Engineer Remote (UK-based) | ️ 6-Month Initial Contract | Inside IR35 Financial Services Our prestigious financial services client is seeking an experienced zSeries Storage Engineer to join their infrastructure team on an initial 6-month contract. Lead and support zSeries Storage hardware and software infrastructure across enterprise environments Perform technical project management for zSeries infrastructure deployments and evergreening projects Design, configure, test, and implement IBM zSeries storage solutions Automate storage infrastructure tasks to reduce manual effort IBM, DELL, Broadcom) Manage risk and cost associated with infrastructure services Support ITIL-aligned change, incident, and problem management processes Ensure service quality and compliance with internal security, audit, and risk requirements Strong background in zSeries Storage Engineering or equivalent experience IBM DS8K disk hardware expertise (installation, DSCLI scripting, HMC GUI) DELL DLM virtual tape (VTE, Data Domain) support knowledge Broadcom (Brocade) DCX hardware, FICON/FIBRE configuration, SanNav Proficiency in IBM z/OS systems: Familiarity with software such as CA1, CA Vantage, CA Disk, T-Rex, Rocket CR+, Interchip RTD Process & Project Management: Agile methodologies and tooling experience Proven record in managing infrastructure projects at enterprise scale zSeries Systems Programming familiarity Knowledge of dark fibre and network technologies IBM Virtual Tape (TS7700) awareness Experience with data centre migrations Programming: Rexx, Python, YAML Location: Remote (must be UK-based and eligible to work in the UK) If you\’re a motivated and technically proficient zSeries Storage Engineer with the expertise to support and enhance enterprise storage infrastructure, we\’d love to hear from you.
