Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a complex, multi-regional data centre migration and transformation programme. This role will be critical in overseeing the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of migrating key IT services across the UK, US, Poland, and Hong Kong. Based in Sheffield, the position requires close collaboration with global teams and flexibility to support US time zones when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of a large-scale data centre migration programme, from initiation through to delivery and closure.
- Manage the migration of mainframe and server-based job scheduling applications, as well as enterprise file transmission services.
- Direct a delivery team of approximately 50–80 full-time employees (FTEs) located across multiple regions.
- Deliver business and technical transformation outcomes—not just a lift-and-shift migration.
- Coordinate with technical leads, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure programme alignment and timely execution.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain delivery momentum.
- Provide regular reporting and governance updates to senior stakeholders and programme sponsors.

- Deep understanding of mainframe environments, job scheduling systems, and secure file transfer technologies.
- Strong background in leading global delivery teams across multiple time zones.
