Job Title: Programme Manager
Location: Birmingham/Sheffield (3 days per week on-site)
Contract: 6 month contract
Start Date: Within the next 3 weeks
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager with a strong background in banking or consulting to lead and drive strategic programmes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This individual must possess excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and updates at ExCo level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex programmes across multiple workstreams
- Ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and deliver within time, cost, and scope parameters
- Prepare and deliver concise, executive-level presentations and reporting to ExCo and senior stakeholders
- Manage and communicate with internal teams and external partners to drive delivery
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring appropriate escalation as required
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, agile environment
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in programme or project management within banking or management consulting
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to ExCo-level stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Location Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to work on-site 3 days per week in Birmingham or Sheffield
