POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Commercial & Finance Manager, the Junior Management Accountant supports the financial operations of La Bottega Collective and all its entities globally. The role covers end‑to‑end transactional finance – AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations – alongside active involvement in month‑end close, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and VAT and audit compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and variance analysis across all Group entities.
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
  • Support cash flow reporting and financial performance analysis.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting for Vanity Group UK Limited and La Bottega Trading UK, ensuring accurate and timely management information.
  • Assist with the financial reporting and month‑end close for Amega Lab (Sweden), including any multi‑currency considerations relevant to the Nordic operation.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & RECEIVABLE

  • Process supplier invoices and bills accurately within the ERP system.
  • Maintain supplier and customer accounts, including reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Prepare and process supplier payment runs, ensuring timely payments.
  • Support customer invoicing, cash allocation, credit control, and aged debtor reporting.
  • Manage AP and AR transactions for Vanity Group UK Limited, La Bottega Trading UK, and Amega Lab (Sweden), maintaining accuracy across each entity.

FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records across all Group entities and offices.
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls Group‑wide.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting across the Collective.
  • Assist in preparation of cash flow forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and provide financial analysis and variance reporting.

COMPLIANCE & AUDIT

  • Assist with VAT returns, audit preparation, and compliance with financial policies and procedures across all Group entities, including Vanity Group UK Limited and La Bottega Trading UK.
  • Support compliance requirements for Amega Lab (Sweden), including any local statutory obligations relevant to the Nordic region.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
  • Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis, reporting, and project support as required.
  • Support the wider finance team during peak periods and business‑critical activities across the Group.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and motivational spirit with stakeholders.
  • Work and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines.
  • Manage upwards, articulating delays/roadblocks to senior management with a solution‑focused approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance or accounting role.
  • Experience supporting month‑end processes, journals, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Hands‑on experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems; SAP experience advantageous.
  • Strong Excel, analytical, organisational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Be able to handle fast-paced working environment.
