We are recruiting on behalf of a growing digital business based in Market Harborough who are looking to bring in a Junior Web Developer to support their web and e-commerce projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their development career who has a solid technical foundation, is well organised, and is keen to learn, particularly around AI and emerging technologies.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work as part of a supportive team, assisting with the build, maintenance and improvement of websites for a varied client base.
Development & Technical Delivery
- Build, maintain and optimise websites and e-commerce platforms.
- Work across multiple CMS and e-commerce systems, including: WordPress, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Webflow, Other CMS platforms as required.
- Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure websites are secure, performant, mobile-friendly and SEO compliant.
- Manage website migrations, updates, integrations and ongoing maintenance.
Client Management
- Act as a primary technical contact for assigned clients.
- Attend client meetings and discovery sessions.
- Manage client expectations and communicate project progress clearly.
- Handle phone calls, emails and support requests professionally.
- Translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
- Work closely with account managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Utilise AI-powered tools and platforms to improve development workflows.
- Identify opportunities to implement AI solutions for client projects.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and best practice.
- Assist in developing AI-enhanced digital experiences and automations.
This role would suit someone who has:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in web development.
- Experience with CMS platforms, WordPress and Shopify (essential).
- Excellent desk management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An open and enthusiastic approach to AI and new technologies.
- The ability to manage your workload and work collaboratively.
