We’re looking for a talented Head of Consultancy to join an industry leading, full-service marketing agency with a reputation for doing complex brilliantly. Bringing strategy, creativity, technology and delivery together under one roof, they work in close partnership with ambitious consumer brands to create meaningful, measurable impact. They are now seeking a Head of Consultancy to establish, lead and grow a new consultancy function within the agency. The Opportunity

This role is about elevating how the agency partners with its clients, moving beyond individual projects to strategic, outcomes led relationships. It involves framing the right commercial questions, uncovering the real challenges businesses face, and connecting insight, brand and customer thinking to tangible business performance. As Head of Consultancy, you will define the consultancy proposition, build and lead a high performing team, and play a pivotal role in the agency’s long term growth strategy. You will operate with credibility at senior client level while working closely with internal specialists to ensure every recommendation is grounded, actionable and deliverable.

What you will do

  • Establish and lead the consultancy function, defining its vision, proposition and operating model.
  • Create commercially robust consultancy services that open higher value, strategic relationships with clients.
  • Shift client engagement from individual projects to clearly defined, outcomes led strategies.
  • Act as a trusted thinking partner to senior client stakeholders, helping them frame and solve complex business challenges.
  • Lead high value consulting engagements with major consumer brands, asking the right commercial questions to uncover opportunity and risk.
  • Translate business challenges into clear, actionable consultancy solutions that draw on the agency’s full capabilities.
  • Build, develop and inspire a high performing consultancy team, while raising strategic thinking across the wider agency.
  • Shape consultancy led new business propositions and contribute to senior level pitches.
  • Drive growth and innovation by developing new services, unlocking cross selling opportunities and embedding insight, data and commercial rigour into all consultancy work.

What you will bring

  • Extensive, proven consultancy experience advising consumer facing organisations such as FMCG, retail, hospitality, leisure or similar.
  • Experience within a consultancy or marketing agency environment.
  • A strong track record of shaping and launching new propositions, services or business units.
  • Credibility and confidence working with senior stakeholders, including those new to consultancy.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to diagnose complex business problems using data and insight.
  • Clear, compelling storytelling skills that win trust and buy in.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to integrate and elevate existing expertise.
  • Experience building, leading and developing teams.
  • An entrepreneurial approach and the appetite to build a consultancy business within a business.
  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification is highly desirable.
