We're delighted to be recruiting a Senior Accountant on behalf of a family-owned accountancy practice based in Blaby. - £38,000 - £42,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 4:45pm, Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm
- 33-hour working week with a 30-minute lunch break
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of business clients
- Produce management accounts and financial reports as required
- Prepare and review VAT returns in line with current regulations
- Assist with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Provide accounting and taxation advice to clients
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance and support where required
Required skills and experience
- AAT qualified
- Minimum of four years' experience working within an accountancy practice
- Good working knowledge of Xero (essential), Dext, QuickBooks and TaxCalc
- Experience preparing accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Good working knowledge of VAT and tax compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to other office location in Leicestershire or client premises when required
