We’re delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner vacancy on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering‑led organisation based in Oakham, Rutland. This Finance Business Partner role offers the opportunity to operate at a senior level, partnering closely with leadership to influence strategic decision‑making and drive commercial performance within a complex, evolving environment.

Salary: £60,000 + profit share bonus + excellent benefits

Location: Oakham, Rutland

Full‑time, permanent position

Duties and responsibilities

  • Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to support strategic planning and decision‑making
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning cycles
  • Produce insightful management accounts, board reports and performance analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow and operational efficiency
  • Support pricing strategy, investment decisions and growth initiatives, including international activity
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support future projects and expansion
  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and governance frameworks

Required skills and experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Financial Controller or senior commercial finance role
  • Background within manufacturing, engineering or a similar sector desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly
  • Experience of producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Confident in influencing senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge
