What you’ll do
- You’ll write in line with gov.uk style and accessibility guidelines, ensuring our digital products meet high content standards.
- Confidently use Storybook and Figma to build and prototype designs.
- Lead the full design lifecycle from framing and research through to insights, hypothesis testing, and delivery.
- Familiar with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and analytics tools like Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics.
- Skilled at simplifying complex financial and investment concepts.
- Independently deliver design work and lead sign-off with Product, business, legal, and compliance.
- Engaging storyteller who facilitates design critiques and co-creation workshops.
- Trusted partner to Tech, Compliance, Marketing, and key stakeholders.
- Understand UX, the Double Diamond, Agile delivery, and highly proficient in Figma.
- Champion diverse disciplines and skillsets, bringing designers together to tackle client problems and get the best of the team in designing solutions.
- Demonstrate servant leadership, empowering your team and elevating our design practice to achieve Vanguard’s and our clients’ goals.
- Provide clear, caring feedback and coaching, welcome input, and listen actively to get the best from Designers, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated expertise in the design field, including creating journeys, apps, public websites, dashboards, and more.
- Background in finance, asset management, or other regulated industries is required.
- Experienced Senior Designer or Design Lead with a strong track record of mentoring and coaching others.
- Strong work ethic with a demonstrated commitment to supporting the success of the team and Vanguard.
