We are seeking a qualified adviser, preferably a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), to lead the development of our service strategy for new retirement offers within UK Personal Investor. This is a key appointment as we look to offer more help to more investors in reaching our 2030 goals. The role is pivotal in shaping service strategy and defining client interactions, with a focus on delivering scalable, innovative solutions that will improve retirement outcomes across the UK and help investors chances of investment success. The role combines leadership, governance and hands-on collaboration, working with a wide stakeholder group to bring the client element of new offers to life.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement a comprehensive client service strategy for retirement offerings.
- Design and document client interaction playbooks to enhance engagement, consistency, and value.
- Adopt an experimental approach to problem-solving, piloting scalable solutions that improve efficiency and client outcomes; carefully weigh the advantages of using traditional client service crew, coaches or advisers at different points in the journey.
- Drive transformation in the delivery and nature of client support in complex areas, ensuring alignment with evolving client needs and UK industry standards.
- Develop a flexible client service operating model, tailored to accommodate the varying requirements and regulations of different regimes from guidance, through to targeted support and potentially beyond.
- Support the recruitment of new crew, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Establish and oversee training plans to ensure competency and ongoing professional development across the team.
- Ideally lead the teams of coaches and advisers in the future that will support the new propositions that UKPI brings to market.
- Lead, coach and motivate the crew, partnering with other senior leaders across UK Personal Investor to deliver great outcomes for clients.
- Ensure service level and quality metrics are met consistently through effective and proactive leadership, prioritisation and resource management; operating at scale is a key aspect of this role.
- Inspire and act as a role model for crew and provide coaching and feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Qualified financial adviser status; CFP designation strongly preferred with strong CPD record and clean complaints record.
- Proven significant experience providing financial advice.
- Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, thrives on problem solving and is action orientated.
- Proven leadership skills with experience of coaching, leading and developing a team.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Working Conditions
- This is a hybrid position and requires work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
- Occasional travel to our central London offices will be required.
