As a content creator for Vanguard’s retail investor business, you’ll play a key role in bringing that mission to life – creating clear, engaging content that helps people understand investing, pensions and retirement, and broader personal finance topics. Your work will help people feel more confident in their decisions and achieve their financial goals.

You’ll create and deliver content for Vanguard’s retail investor audience, translating complex topics – from investing and market movements to pensions, retirement, investment accounts and everyday personal finance – into clear, accessible ways for retail investors. This role is key to ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content across channels, supporting ongoing campaigns and business priorities.

  • Plan and produce high-quality content across multiple formats, including written articles, email, social media and video – often working across several projects and deadlines at once.
  • Turn Vanguard’s global research and thought leadership into engaging, relevant content for retail investors.
  • Support the delivery of marketing campaigns and wider business priorities, ensuring a consistent message across channels.
  • Help create content which financial advisers can use with their clients.
  • Work with our Digital Wealth team to produce content that can work for both Vanguard and our partners.

A key part of the role is balancing engaging storytelling with regulatory requirements – producing content that meets legal and compliance standards, including Consumer Duty expectations. You’ll respond to market developments and business needs with agility, maintaining high content production standards in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in content creation, ideally in personal finance journalism, working for a retail investor platform, or investment writing for a retail audience.
  • Proven ability to explain complex topics (e.g. investing, pensions, markets or personal finance) in ways that retail investors can easily access and understand.
  • Experience working across content formats (articles, social, email, video) and adapting content for different channels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and iterating content based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Vanguard has implemented a hybrid working model for the majority of our crew members, designed to capture the benefits of enhanced flexibility while enabling in-person learning, collaboration, and connection. We believe our mission-driven and highly collaborative culture is a critical enabler to support long-term client outcomes and enrich the employee experience.
