Overview
In this Technical Lead role, you guide the Front Office Asset Management technology suite, aligning solutions with business goals and architecture standards. You’ll drive the technical roadmap, ensure platform stability and security, and steer complex transformation initiatives. You’ll work with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate priorities into scalable, modern technology. Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership across the Front Office application portfolio, aligning with business strategy, architecture, and operations
- Lead design, development, deployment, and support of solutions enabling investment, trading, and portfolio management capabilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, architects, and engineers to define roadmaps and prioritize tech investments
- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, platform simplification, resiliency, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities
- Serve as the primary technical authority for the application suite on architecture, patterns, technology selection, and best practices
- Manage multiple concurrent technical deliveries, ensuring risk, stakeholder communication, and high-quality outcomes
- Mentor and develop engineers and analysts, fostering collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
- Build strong relationships with business partners to understand Front Office processes and evolving needs
- Promote innovation by leveraging emerging technologies, data insights, AI, and automation to improve outcomes and efficiency
- Ensure platforms meet security, compliance, resiliency, performance, and supportability standards
Key requirements
- Java, Python hands-on development
- Cloud-native solution design and delivery using AWS
- Understanding of AI/generative AI, e.g., Claude, and practical business use cases
- Experience leading complex enterprise applications and large-scale transformations
- Knowledge of software architecture, system integration, API design, security, DevOps, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
- Experience in Front Office, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Investment Management, or related financial services
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive consensus, and lead cross-functional teams
- Strong commercial acumen balancing tech investments, risk, and business value
